Blue
Hi, I’m Blue. I’m a mum to an amazing 6-year-old, and I’ve learned a lot about becoming a parent , and about myself, along the way.
Parenting, for me, has been all of it at once: beautiful, lonely, loud, quiet, tender, frustrating, inspiring and sometimes just hard to even put into words.
There have definitely been moments where I’ve felt things I didn’t expect, and that sense of “is this normal?” comes up regularly! Through my own experience, I’ve come to realise just how common so many of those thoughts and feelings are.
I enjoy open, honest conversations about the realities of parenting. Whether that’s chatting about something specific or just talking things through. I’ve been told I’m easy to talk to, and I value those kinds of relaxed conversations; whether it’s a catch-up or just getting things off your chest about the day.
In my own parenting, I’ve followed a gentle, boundaried approach, which has shaped how things have worked in our family very well. It’s been a journey with its own challenges, and something I’ve come to understand more over time through experience.
My experiences also include things like donor conception, same-sex parenting, becoming a parent later in life, parental loss and grief, caesarean birth, and breastfeeding, including feeding older babies.
I’m open to conversations with parents at any stage, as well as anyone who relates to these kinds of experiences or is simply curious about them from a real-life perspective.
I’m here to chat as another parent, not to offer advice or services, just to share and listen through real-life experience.
If this sounds like something you’d like, feel free to connect, I look forward to speaking with you.
