ANNETTE
Hi , I am a parent of a 22 year old son,
I’ve dealt with anxiety and depression in my son and myself. I coped by setting small routines, finding support groups, and practicing mindfulness—those were the key steps for me. When my son got diagnosed with mental issues I helped him cope by being patient, seeking professional support, and focusing on open honest communication with my son.
I have also recently been diagnosed with ADHD, and I’m exploring new ways to cope like making to do lists being open when I cant understand or emotions are overwhelming and also slowing down when i feeling things are not going well.
I’m open to talking about early years challenges, like parenting, school changes, potty training, and also work-life balance. I share from my personal experiences, not advice. I’ve also experienced grief and the journey through loss, especially with family members. It’s all about shared living experiences.
I am happy to talk to someone who has had a similar experiences like:
- Different stages in childhood including early years.
-Changings in routine like changing schools.
-Work and life balance.
- Experiences of mental health.
- Adjusting to ADHD later in life.
I'm here to share personal experiences and take part in conversation with someone who is going through something similar.
Sharing personal experiences only -not advice or guidance
