What is CosyChats.com? 

CosyChats.com is a Marketplace that enables Service Providers to share their knowledge and experience via 121 virtual sessions. CosyChats is the platform that enables the booking process, collecting the monies and holding the money until the Service has been provided.

CosyChats has 6 Services; Healthy You, Adoption, IVF, Teenagers, Kids and New Parents.

What is a Service Provider? 

Service Providers are able to share their life experience and knowledge. Experience can be varied, CosyChats has 6 Services; Healthy You, Adoption, IVF, Teenagers, Kids and New Parents. Service Providers detail their experience and knowledge on their page. Service Providers could have relevant formal qualifications or have experience and/or knowledge of one or many of the 6 Services.

What is a Service? 

Service Providers can be booked on a one off or regular basis, to share their knowledge and experience. The Service virtual via phone or Zoom etc. The chosen Service Provider will call you at the booked time.

Service Providers share their knowledge and experience. Its important to note the Service provided by Service Providers is not intended to replace the help provided by the Samaritans for example or a trip to a GP.

Could I be a Service Provider?  

Subject to a registration process, the simple answer is yes, anyone with relevant experience and/or knowledge could be but not everyone is going to be a successful. Consider what skills you have and be clear about what Service you are offering.  

Browse the existing Service Providers. We expect experience and knowledge to be broad and many types of peoples experience to be eligible.

What is the registration process? 

Each Service Provider must complete a registration process. Select Register, Service Provider to begin. We have made the registration process as straightforward as we can but additional checks may be undertaken to establish identify and validate experience and knowledge where we are unable to do this via the registration process.

How do I become a Service Provider? 

Visit CosyChats.com and select Register, Service Provider. Complete your details and profile. Be as clear as you can, be clear about what you offer and your experience. The more detail and clarity you have the more likely you are to meet the customers expectation and so receive positive reviews.

What is a clearly defined service? 

Service Providers must be clear about the Service they offer so there is no ambiguity or false expectation. This is very important for both parties to understand and be clear about to avoid any confusion.  

Are you like the Samaritans? 

No. CosyChats.com does not replicate or replace in any way the Service provided by the Samaritans or a GP visit for example.

The Samaritans are available 24/7, 365 days a year and will listen to you. Only 1 in 5 people now contact the Samaritans because they are having suicidal thoughts. 

There is no shame or stigma about contacting a Service like the Samaritans or visiting your Doctor and encourage you to do this.

How do the Customer bookings work? 

Bookings are made directly through CosyChats.com, we will send you a confirmation email and booking details will appear on your personal bookings page. Your chosen Service Provider will call you at the booked time.  

Do Customers have to provide personal details?  

Please don’t, our registration page accepts any name you choose.  

Can I book a service for someone else? 

There is facility within the booking process to book for another person, please select  

‘Select if you are booking for another person’ as below.  

Is my payment secure? 

Yes, your payment is made through our global third-party payment provider World Pay. Worldpay UK processes approximately 40% of all UK Card Transactions.

Your payment is made from the Worldpay payment page. CosyChats.Com does retain or record your payment details.

When is my Service Provider paid? 

Your Service Provider will raise an Invoice for the Service they have provided. You will receive an email asking you to Accept or Deny this Invoice.   Once accepted your Service Provider will be paid. Your money is not paid to your chosen until you have approved their Invoice.

Can I cancel the Service? 

You can cancel the Service at any time. Please email contact@CosyChats.com and confirm your Booking ID, Cancelation confirmation and explanation.

Can I leave a review? 

Yes, you will receive a link once you confirm the Service is completed.

What happens if a call overruns? 

You and your Service Provider must agree to the call overrunning, you must have sufficient unused minutes available and agree to use these minutes in the overrun. Your Service Provider will then raise an early invoice as you have used up minutes from future calls. Additional bookings maybe made to compensate for the additional minutes used in the overrunning call.

Ordinary people can be extraordinary by sharing their experience and knowledge with others. People benefit from shared experience.

Do you donate to charity? 

Yes, we donate a minimum 10% of our profits to charities. We hope in the future to donate much more.

How does it work? 

In a nutshell; You Register as a Service Provider. Set up your shop front page. Decide when, where and for how much you are available to be booked for. Clearly detail your Experience and Knowledge. Be clear on the Service you offer (sympathetic listening or no nonsense advice, for instance).

Once live Customers can browse your profile and make bookings. You will arrange contact with the Customer as they have booked. Contact is 1 2 1 via telephone or Zoom etc.

Do I need qualifications to be a Service Provider? 

Not necessarily. Your life experience, attitude and personal skills could be invaluable assets.  

You could be a ‘people person’ or have a ‘no nonsense’ attitude that gets results.  You need to consider your skills and what you can offer. Don’t try to be something you’re not, this will only lead to bad reviews.  

Who do I work for? 

You work for yourself, you are self-employed. You decide when you work and for how much. 

Do I need an office? 

No. An office is not required. You should though consider your environment to maximise your Customer experience and satisfaction. Background noise for example.

How do I get paid? 

Once you have completed the calls to the Customer the booking is completed. You can raise an invoice for approval and then payment is made to your designated back account.

How much does it cost to register and set up my profile? 

There is no charge made by CosyChats.com.

You may incur costs in producing a CRB certificate, for example.

CosyChats.com operates a refund service. Double your direct costs can be refunded to an equivalent amount, and paid via a reduction in commission fees. CosyChats.com works on a %commission based fee per booking.

CosyChats.Com does not have any on going fees.

Can I leave when I like? 

Yes, please email us and we will deactivate your account. Your profile will not be visible and any outstanding booking refunded. Any monies due to you will be paid.

Is there a charge for leaving?

No there is no charge for leaving.

Can I have more than one profile? 

No. There is no need as you can set up different services and charges across one profile 

Can I cancel the service to the customer?  

We understand there may be certain instances where you continuing with the service may not be beneficial to you or your customer.  You can cancel the Service at any time. Please inform your customer that you are cancelling the service and if appropriate that you will be raising an invoice for the service completed so far and creating a refund request to the Customer.

Please be aware of other Services that may be more applicable.  

The Samaritans are there 24/7 365 days a year and will listen. The Samaritans want to help and offer an appropriate Service.  

Triggers for depression can include; Bereavement, Loss of Job, Sexual problems, Children leaving home, Alcohol issues, Serious Illness Diagnosis, Divorce, Debt & Financial Stress, Infertility, Being a Carer & Hormone imbalance.
