Our Conversation Guidelines

Every conversation on CosyChats is different because every parent, every family and every journey is different.

These guidelines are here to help everyone understand what to expect and to make conversations feel comfortable, respectful and enjoyable for everyone involved.

🌿 Conversations Are Based on Lived Experience

CosyChats brings together parents whose parenting journeys or family experiences feel relevant to one another.

Every conversation is based on personal experience.

Parents simply share what family life has been like for them and the experiences they are living or have lived.

Everyone’s experiences, opinions and perspectives are different, and that’s part of what makes conversations interesting.

CosyChats isn’t about finding the “right” answer.

It’s about sharing experiences.

🤝 Respect Each Other

Every conversation should be approached with kindness and respect.

We encourage everyone to:

🌿 Be honest about their own experiences

🌿 Respect that every family is different

🌿 Allow space for different opinions and perspectives

🌿 Keep conversations friendly and considerate

If a conversation doesn’t feel right, you’re free to end it at any time.

💬 What CosyChats Is — and Isn’t

CosyChats is an introduction platform connecting adults (18+) for one-to-one conversations.

Parents talk about their own lived experiences.

CosyChats is not:

🌿 Medical advice

🌿 Therapy or counselling

🌿 Coaching or mentoring

🌿 Professional or clinical services

🌿 Crisis or emergency support

If you’re looking for professional advice or urgent support, CosyChats may not be the right place, and we encourage you to contact the appropriate services.

🔒 Privacy

Conversations take place privately between the people involved.

CosyChats does not monitor or record conversations.

We ask everyone to respect one another’s privacy and keep conversations confidential.

Please do not share personal or sensitive information during conversations. This includes information such as your home address, financial details, passwords or other information that could compromise your privacy or security.

If you choose to share personal information with another person, you do so at your own discretion and responsibility.

🌱 A Conversation Between Equals

Every parent on CosyChats has their own story.

Nobody is expected to have all the answers.

Some parents may have experienced something very similar to you.

Others may simply offer a different perspective through their own experiences.

The value comes from the conversation itself, not from expertise.

⚠️ If a Conversation Doesn’t Feel Right

Most conversations on CosyChats are positive, respectful and enjoyable.

However, if something doesn’t feel right, trust your instincts.

You are always free to end a conversation.

If you believe someone has behaved inappropriately or breached these guidelines, please let us know by contacting:

📧 contact@cosychats.com

Where appropriate, we may review the matter and take action on the platform, including restricting or removing accounts.

🚫 What We Don’t Allow

To help keep CosyChats welcoming for everyone, we don’t allow:

🌿 Harassment, bullying or abusive behaviour

🌿 Discrimination or hate speech

🌿 Sharing harmful or explicit content

🌿 Requests for money or financial information

🌿 Taking payments outside the CosyChats platform

🌿 Using CosyChats to promote products or services

🌿 Pretending to be someone you’re not

Accounts that seriously or repeatedly breach these guidelines may be restricted or removed.

🚨 If You Need Additional Support

If you’re experiencing an emergency or believe someone is at immediate risk, call 999.

If you need medical, mental health or safeguarding support beyond the scope of a parent-to-parent conversation, please contact your GP, NHS services or your local authority, or use a trusted support directory such as Hub of Hope.

🌿 Our Commitment

We created CosyChats because we believe there is something uniquely valuable about talking to another parent whose experiences feel relevant to your own.

Our commitment is to make those conversations easier to find by providing a platform where parents can connect, share their own lived experiences, and talk with honesty, respect and understanding.

Because sometimes one conversation with another parent who’s been somewhere similar can make all the difference.
