Bio :
I'm Emma, a national award-winning children's princess entertainer and a 31 year old mum of a 2 year old whirlwind, or "Hurricane Aurora" as she is often known. I have recently come out of the thick of it; my motherhood journey started with a miscarriage back in 2020 after many years of wanting to have a baby. I then fell pregnant in April 2021, and just two days before Christmas Aurora was born. Pregnancy sucked. I had both HG and PGP the whole way through, and by the time I had my glorious elected C-Section I was sick and tired (literally and figuratively) of all the acronyms pregnancy brought me. My C-Section/Auroras birth day was the best day of my life and I'll happily go into detail about every single moment; the goods, the bads, the gory details, the recovery and everything that happened before, after and in-between. On Christmas Eve 2021 we took our tiny potato home with us and whoosh, there begins parenthood. And isn't it just crazy? We had a lot of feeding and weight issues at the start and I've had to make a lot of difficult decisions surrounding the balance between family and career - I'm honestly just muddling along one day at a time just like everyone else, I just love to chat about it and help people if I can! CHAT WITH ME ABOUT: Breastfeeding, quitting breastfeeding, c-section experience, life in the thick of it, finding the new 'you', navigating career vs family, how to entertain your little one when you've done one too many tours around the house, birthday party advice, making friends as a new parent, pregnancy and parenthood after experiencing abuse and much much more. Let me be your agony aunt - or perhaps just your online aunt who is often in agony, mostly with my knees from bending down constantly to pick up toys. I'll be your 'yep, it's ****, isn't it' person and will talk your ear off about all your interests, because sometimes it's just great to talk to an actual real life adult again! See you soon! :)
