I am a parent to 2 grown up children, and have no formal qualifications in parenting or childcare but have gained my experience by being a parent. From new born to toddlers, then the teenage years into adulthood I’ve experienced all the highs and lows along the way, the first milestones, talking, walking, school, senior school, boyfriends/girlfriends, falling out with best friends, 6th form, Uni and now into adulthood (and still learning).
With hands on experience with Dyslexia, ADHD and teenage diagnoses of life long autoimmune conditions and the impact these had on our family at the time and how we coped moving forward. With no parenting “how to” manual to see me through each stage of my children growing up. So, along my parenting journey I’ve made some mistakes and yes I could’ve handled certain situations differently and at times an emotional rollercoaster but all experiences I’m sure lots of parents have come across in one form or another, so it’s good to know we’re not on our own.
I am very down to earth, friendly and happy to talk about anything and everything or just listen as I’m a good listener too! Just so you know, I will be honest with you as I’m a firm believer in it’s better to be told what you need to hear not what you want to hear.
I look forward to chatting with you and supporting you in anyway I can.
