The best approach to parenting that I have found has been to be more reflective with myself; asking myself why I was triggered by my child rather than just being triggered. I didn't always think like this, like everyone else I automatically adopted a parenting style that was very much informed by how my own parents raised me. Having grown up with siblings much younger than me I was given parenting responsibilities at a very young age by the time I had my own children and officially became a parent it was almost like my second go round, a chance to do better. Starting a meditative journey also encouraged me to let go of more things from my childhood that had become my "baggage" over the years; allowing me to be a more a understanding, loving parent. So if there is anything you wish to discuss on this amazing journey of parenthood please do hit me up.
