I'm Fiona. A mum to two gorgeous girls. I offer totally judgment-free listening and a safe place for you to share your thoughts and feelings on the parenting adventure! One of my main strengths is the ability to listen. I'm currently training in numerous healing modalities and during this training I've found one of the things that we don't often have; is the opportunity for space to be held for us to talk about the things that we find hard; and the chance to be listened to, without someone competing to compare their story (sometimes all we need is to get things off our chest!). My personal parenting style is very much child-lead, although navigating my way through the pre-teen years is proving to be much more of an improvised dance that I'm still learning the steps to! As a mum to two very different children, I've found I've had to adapt many ways in different situations and had big lessons in learning to compromise and let go of what I think a situation 'should' look like. I’ve also been shown things that I need to heal as an adult to allow me to become more of the parent I want to be and as uncomfortable as this may have been at times, I’m truly grateful for every trigger that’s appeared. I'm hugely into self-development, spirituality and holistic healing which I try to implement into mine and my children's lives as much as possible. I combine this with looking at situations on the whole, from my child's point of view and also holding my hands up and apologising to my children when I’m in the wrong! I'm happy to share the things I've experienced from co-sleeping to social media/screen time all the way to fussy meal times and primary school deferral ( due to my youngest daughter not being ready for school) and also my experience of parenting with a view to hear and empathise rather than reacting along with techniques that I've found helpful when big emotions arise. I look forward to connecting with you and being your safe place to be heard and listened to.
