Sheri
Hello, and thank you for being here. My name is Sheri.
I’m a single mum to two children, aged 18 and 12.
My eldest son has ADHD and ASD, and as a family, we’ve experienced the challenges of navigating the children’s mental health system, including time with CAMHS. Today, my son is a thriving young man, proof that with the right support, understanding, and perseverance, progress is always possible. It’s been a journey with its ups and downs, one that has shaped much of our family life.
Alongside parenting, I’ve also been through a difficult divorce after ten years of marriage and understand the impact that can have on family life, identity, and day-to-day routines.
These experiences have given me a unique perspective on parenting, change, and the reality of navigating difficult periods over time.
I’m open to conversations about:
Parenting children with additional needs
Experiences with CAMHS and the mental health system
Separation, divorce, and co-parenting
Balancing your own needs alongside parenting
I’m here to share my experience and take part in a conversation with someone who may be going through something similar.
Sharing personal experience only — not advice or guidance.
