Hi, I'm Clare. I'm mum to an amazing and very creative 15-year-old daughter. I have been a single parent since early pregnancy after leaving a toxic relationship. From that point on, my focus was on building a life for myself and my daughter and becoming the best mum I could be. I breastfed my daughter and have home educated her since she was five years old, so I have many years of experience navigating both of those journeys. Parenting has taught me a huge amount about myself, and I feel that I have grown alongside my daughter as she has grown into a young woman. Some of the experiences I am happy to talk about include: • Single parenting • Leaving a difficult or unhealthy relationship • Breastfeeding • Home education and homeschooling • Raising a teenager • Personal growth through parenthood • The ups and downs of family life There have been times in my life when parenting felt overwhelming, lonely, and challenging. There have also been moments of great joy, pride, and personal growth. Any conversation with me is based on my own personal experience and what these experiences have been like for me. I enjoy having open, honest, and non-judgemental conversations with other parents and hearing about the different journeys people have taken.
